About YDABlocks
YDABlocks is an educational tool that teaches how an AI language model actually thinks. It is built for everyone curious about how AI works — learners of any age, families, classrooms, and the simply curious. It does this with four color-coded blocks, each with one job: the Blue block reads, the Green block looks around at how words relate, the Yellow block thinks, and the Red block answers. You build with these blocks, create your own training examples, adjust how the blocks blend, and see the result — so the inner workings of AI stop being a mystery and become something anyone can hold in their hands.
YDABlocks includes use by students, and works well in schools — but it is a general-audience product, not a children's app. Students and schools are among those who benefit; they are not the whole of who it is for.
YDABlocks also includes Richard, a warm, patient, safety-first assistant. Richard's purpose is to support the learning experience and keep it safe. Because Richard is a capable assistant, you can also ask him for help with everyday subjects — that help is a welcome byproduct of the tool, not its purpose. The heart of YDABlocks is, and remains, teaching how AI thinks.
